Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc. (LCA) offers observed drug tests, seven days per week at our downtown San Francisco office. Both male and female supervision is available and standard chain-of-custody protocol is followed by LCA staff. Redwood Toxicology provides the analysis and reporting to LCA.
LCA does drug testing for pre-employment, court cases, child-custody cases and more. Both five-panel and seven-panel screening tests are available. The five-panel tests screen for amphetamines, opiates, barbiturates, cocaine and benzodiazepines. The seven-panel test screens for all of the above as well as alcohol and marijuana.
Preliminary test results are available the following day and will demonstrate if an individual tested positive or negative for drugs, or not. The content breakdown of each type of panel is available in one day for a negative test, two days for a positive test. LCA can provide results to the court officers, mediators or individuals.
Individuals needing drug-testing services may call for an appointment. For agencies looking to contract for groups of clients and want to ensure tests are randomized, clients are assigned a number and required to call in daily to hear a pre-recorded message listing the numbers called up for testing. They must report for testing the following day or they will be reported as a no-show. Test times are 9:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday, and 9:00am to noon on Saturdays and Sundays.
Cost is $34 per test, payable at the time of the test with a money order or credit card. Individuals must pay at time of test, agencies may contract for billable services.
