Founded in 1991 by Linda Connelly, LCA offerings include adult and juvenile day reporting programs, risk assessment, electronic monitoring with GPS tracking and services to support re-entry into society.
Our mission is to improve communities by providing tools designed to break the cycle of recidivism by addressing cognitive and behavioral issues and alcohol and substance abuse. To promote our mission, LCA programs provide affordable and reliable solutions where participants receive the help they need for successful community integration.
LCA was founded in August 1991 by Linda Connelly, a leader in innovative community-based corrections throughout her career.
For over 40 years, she has worked in both the public and private sectors of the criminal justice field, specializing in direct service, as well as program and policy development.
LCA began with electronic monitoring and residential treatment programming. In 1994, LCA became the first private electronic monitoring agency in the country to be accredited by the American Correctional Association.
LCA was originally Linda Connelly & Associates, Inc., but then grew into Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc. Although this remains our legal name, we are just known as “LCA” among our participants, customers, and the criminal justice community.
The stock for LCA was acquired by SuperCom on January 2016. Since 1988, SuperCom has been a leading global provider of identity and tracking solutions for various. The combination of SuperCom and LCA provides a strong platform for future growth and professional development.
