Our Vision

Supporting Community Safety Solutions

Our vision is to be recognized as a leader in providing multifaceted interventions, evidenced-based programs, and technological solutions to support individuals in contact with the justice system to live safer, happier, more productive lives.

History

LCA was founded in August 1991 by Linda Connelly, a leader in innovative community-based corrections throughout her career.

For over 40 years, she has worked in both the public and private sectors of the criminal justice field, specializing in direct service, as well as program and policy development.

LCA began with electronic monitoring and residential treatment programming.  In 1994, LCA became the first private electronic monitoring agency in the country to be accredited by the American Correctional Association.

LCA was originally Linda Connelly & Associates, Inc., but then grew into Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc.  Although this remains our legal name, we are known as “LCA” among our participants, customers, and the criminal justice community.

The stock for LCA was acquired by SuperCom on January 2016.  Since 1988, SuperCom has been a leading global provider of identity and tracking solutions for various private and government entities. The combination of SuperCom and LCA provides a strong platform for future growth and professional development.
